Shiel Bus
Mon - Sat. Leaves Ferry Stores for Fort William at 7.50am, arrives 10.20am. Leaves from the back of Morrisons supermarket at 1.50pm, arrives back in Kilchoan at about 4.45pm. Kilchoan-Fort William timetable is here, Fort William-Kilchoan is here.

Tobermory Ferry
Kilchoan-Tobermory is a 35-minute crossing. The summer 2017 timetable is here.

Corran Ferry
Mon-Sat: First ferry leaves Nether Lochaber at 0630 and Ardgour at 0640, and last ferry leaves Nether Lochaber at 2130. Contact telephone number 01855 841 243. The winter 2016/17 timetable is here.

Based in Acharacle.
Practice number 01967 431 231 to book appointments.
Out of hours, contact NHS 24 on 111. They will call out the Duty Doctor if necessary.
Kilchoan Surgeries: Tuesdays 9.30am - 11.30am, Fridays 10.00am - 12 midday. Community Nurse Thursdays 9.30am - 11.30am. 01967 431 231 for appointments.

The Ferry Stores
Opening hours Mon - Sat 9.00am - 1.00pm and 2.00pm - 5.30pm. Post Office closes Wednesday at 1.00 pm and Saturday at 12.30pm. Sunday opening 11.30am - 2.00pm summer only.

Rubbish & Recycling
Collections: Kilchoan, Kilmory & Ockle, Tuesday morning; Sanna, Achnaha & Portuairk, Wednesday - cardboard, newspapers & cans in blue boxes. Bottle, clothing, card & newspaper banks at Sanna turn, by Fire Station. All other recycled items to the Recycling Point on the Portuairk road, Wednesdays, 12.00 - 2.00pm. Details here.

Kilchoan Parish Church has a weekly service on Sundays, usually at either 11am or 2pm - more details here, and the church's Facebook page is here.

West Ardnamurchan Community Council meets on the second Monday of every month, at 7.00pm in Kilchoan Learning Centre. All welcome.

West Highland College UHI offers a wide variety of courses to degree level. Details here.

Kilchoan Community Centre activities include fitness for the over fifties, Health Walk, Playgroup, Craft and Art Groups, Bowls, Keep Fit and much more.

ANNUAL EVENTS 2017:

The Kilchoan Runathon is on Saturday 20th May - details here.

The West Ardnamurchan Show & Sports is on Friday 21st July. Stock judging takes place in the morning, followed by races at 11am and barbeque afterwards. A great day for all the family.

The Kilchoan Regatta is on Thursday 3rd and Friday 4th August, with sailing races taking place on the Thursday and the main events on the Friday. Open to all, races include rowing, kayaking, power boats, and a raft race. Ceilidh follows in the Friday evening. Contact Alasdair MacColl on 510 318 for details.

The Kilchoan Pram Race
is on Friday 28th July. This year's theme is 'Pop Stars'.

The archaeologists of the Ardnamurchan Transitions Project will be working at Swordle again this year from 30th July to 18th August. There will be open days at the site, and a talk in the Kilchoan Community Centre. Volunteers are welcome on the site.
