Migrating Swans

Many thanks to Richard O'Connor for this picture of a small flock of Bewick's Swans which are taking a rest on Lochan na Crannaig at the moment. They're passing through on their way to their summer breeding grounds in Siberia.

A flock of whooper swans was seen the other day on Lochan an Aodainn, just to the south of Sonachan Hotel.
