Seasonal Confusion

It rained last night, some 29mm in under twelve hours - much to the joy of Hughie's pigs - followed by a further 9mm during the day, which....

....made very sure that the roads were under water and....

....seemed to irritate Nan's dog Jack who had an argument through the fence with one of her ewes.

By midday the temperature, instead of rising, was falling, the rain let up for a few minutes, and the clouds cleared to reveal snow on the summit of Ben Hiant and on all the higher hills down the Sound of Mull. Not that any of this slowed the process of the seasons. We have....

....flowers on the brambles already, so the first blackberries should be ripening in a couple of weeks.
