New Algy Book

The latest book in the series "Tales from the Adventures of Algy" has just been published in time for Christmas. The Magical Midwinter Star is a joyful winter bedtime story, and an ideal stocking filler for children aged 7 to 9 or 10 (depending on reading age). It is also suitable for reading aloud to 5 and 6 year olds. With a full colour illustration at the head of each chapter, it is set in the local landscape and features a cast of fascinating and funny animal and bird characters drawn from the real wildlife of the local area. The book is 126 pages in total, and costs £5.99 in paperback and £12.99 in hardback (cloth with dust jacket) - with free delivery by 1st class post (or in person) to UK addresses until Christmas.

You can learn more about the book and read a preview here. Although the book is now available to order from online retailers such as The Book Depository and Amazon, it may not be delivered by them in time for Christmas but you can buy signed copies with free 1st class delivery to UK addresses, direct from Algy's own web shop at here for despatch early next week.

If you live in the local area, you can either buy from Algy's web shop (and the book will probably be delivered in person, depending on where you are) or send Jenny a message to arrange cash on delivery. Contact Jenny via Facebook here, through Algy's own Facebook page here, or by using the contact form on Algy's web site here. There's also a Kindle ebook edition, with a free Kindle book promotion tomorrow, Sunday 18th - details on Algy's adventures on Tumblr here.

Jenny will be doing a special book signing event for The Magical Midwinter Star at the Kilchoan Community Centre during the holidays, mid-week between the Christmas and New Year weekends - more details about this soon.
