Many thanks to Ben McKeown for this picture of a pine marten, taken one evening recently on the north coast of Ardnamurchan. Ben describes how he spotted the pine marten at the top of a field and watched for about an hour as it zig-zagged down the field towards him, foraging as it went. It looked as if it was eating anything it found on the way, including insects and voles.
